I agree with most everything you've said about them, except not really them being "slow". ![]() If I were you, I wouldn't spend too much time trying to figure out how to make farming work on a character that really only shines with access to teleport. However, hammerdins specifically take quite a bit of finesse to play safely without teleport: it's boring, slow, and a bit counterintuitive to boot, which is why I don't understand recommending this build to someone who doesn't have another character to farm out enigma (or something worth enigma) for their hammerdin. ![]() Hell, these defensive stats are probably suitable for hardcore play. Similarly, your gear is more than enough to clear hell if you have positive resists, >0 fcr, max block and almost 1k health. Builds that I would call "not real builds" do actually need gear to progress through /p1 hell at any reasonable speed because they don't do enough damage, but hammerdins do frankly excessive mounts of damage. ![]() Hammerdins are firmly in the "real build" category, which means that if you know what you're doing /p1 hell isn't a problem. I'm not contradicting myself I'm trying to avoid saying that you can beat this game naked and blindfolded on softcore if you know the game well enough.
